Applications of Next-Generation Sequencing in Microbiology
An Illumina seminar organized in collaboration with Genomics Core-KU Leuven.
Friday, March 18, 2016
Advances in science are often punctuated by the emergence of revolutionary technologies that provide new paths for research and development.
Among these technologies, the NGS, next generation sequencing, is now changing the way we approach and understand the microbiology, particularly in the areas of sequencing entire genomes, evolution, ecology, the discovery and analysis bacterial and viral diversity applied to disease and health.
During this meeting we will discuss its different challenges, preparation of the sample for analysis, through the sequencing method.
