Belgian researchers – including biologists from AfricaMuseum – will begin monitoring the presence of tiger mosquitoes in Belgium. Although native to Southeast Asia, the mosquito is spreading closer here, carrying viruses that can cause diseases like dengue or Zika fever.
The 2017 Zoology Congress is organized by the Wageningen University on Thursday 23th and Friday 24th of November on the topic of 'Genotype-phenotype map: from model systems to ecosystems'.

The African Centre for DNA Barcoding (ACDB) and the University of Johannesburg (UJ) host the 7th International Barcode of Life (iBOL) Conference from November 20 to 24, 2017. This event will be held in Skukuza, Kruger National Park within the heart of African wildlife.
