Zoology 2019 & NVG

For the first time, the KNDV (Dutch Royal Society of Zoologists), BZS (Royal Belgian Zoological Society) and NVG (Netherlands Society for Behavioural Biology) are joining efforts to organize a congress on the theme "Learning and Memory in the Animal Kingdom – from nematodes to humans". This last one will take place on 27-29 November 2019 at the Congrescentrum Hanze Plaza of Groningen (Netherlands). The program will feature six plenaries, featuring the Distinguished Zoologist Lecture Dr Richard Morris, the Brill Baerends lecture by Dr Susanne Åkesson, and the Dobberke Evening Lecture by Dr Jolle Jolles. Regular talks will be organized in sessions, most of which will present three talks in parallel. A preliminary programm is available here.

BopCo will be attending with two presentations related to the MEMO project:

- "New native Culicidae species records to Belgium validated using DNA-based techniques"

- "Molecular validation of native and invasive mosquito species in Belgium"
